Abstract

We obtain exact bounds on the maximum number of in-tersections between two polygons with prescribed edge
counts. In three dimensions, we obtain exact bounds
on the number of intersecting face-pairs of two polyhe-
dra with prescribed face counts when the polyhedra are
convex, and lower bounds in the general case.
