Biography: 

Michel Cukier is a professor of mechanical engineering with an affiliate appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.

His research covers dependability and security issues. Cukier's other research interests include fault tolerance, intrusion tolerance, and dependability and security evaluation.
